Botanical Medicine

The use of plants for healing dates back to the beginnings of civilization and is the foundation of modem pharmacology. Plant substances from around the world are used for their healing effects and nutritional value. Herbal, botanical extracts and the like are utilized according to particular situations. Such remedies are actual medicines and should NOT be applied simply on the basis of symptomology but rather on the basis of a thorough medical intake, history and assessment. The application of herbals is typically used to restore the body to balance and are not usually intended for long term use.
